Contract details and value
NASA has awarded a contract to Omitron Inc. to acquire orbital safety analysis services intended to protect NASA spaceflight assets and astronaut lives. The indefinite-delivery contract carries an estimated value of approximately $23.5 million spanning a five-year period of performance.
Scope of services
The agreement covers conjunction assessment screening services for all uncrewed spacecraft operated by NASA. Additionally, the arrangement includes support for human spaceflight activities alongside orbital safety analysis support directed toward the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Office of Space Commerce.
Locations of work
Operations associated with the contract will be conducted across multiple facilities. These include Omitron’s location in Beltsville, Maryland, and NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland. Additional work sites comprise the agency’s Johnson Space Center in Houston, the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren in Virginia, and Peterson Space Force Base located in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
