Filming at Madison Square Garden
Filmmaker John Wilson has been rolling cameras on Harry Styles during the singer’s residency at Madison Square Garden, according to sources with knowledge of the project. Wilson, known for HBO’s “How To with John Wilson” and the indie release “The History of Concrete,” has been capturing footage at the venue since August.
The documentary is expected to combine live performances with a look inside Styles’ world. Sources indicate the film will feature human stories involving the singer, his fans, and individuals working behind the scenes.
Production and Distribution
The project is a collaboration produced by Universal Pictures Content Group, Peanut World Pictures, and Styles. Universal Pictures Content Group will hold global rights to the film, and sources report that the project is eyeing a theatrical release through Universal, though distribution plans are still being finalized.
Styles is currently performing the largest single-engagement residency in the history of Madison Square Garden as part of his “Together, Together” tour. The engagement began in late August and is scheduled to run through the end of October. Representatives for Styles, Wilson, and Universal declined to comment immediately on the matter.
