Talent agency Gersh is expanding its international content operations with the launch of Victoria House, the new identity for the Emmy-winning Spanish production company You First Originals. The rebranding accompanies the completion of You First’s integration under the Gersh global brand.
Rebranding and leadership
The transition follows Gersh’s 2024 acquisition of Madrid-based You First, a deal that doubled the agency’s workforce to more than 600 employees across 22 offices in 14 countries. Victoria House managing director Javier Martínez stated that the partnership gives the production company access to Gersh’s international talent network while preserving creative freedom for original stories and intellectual property.
Martínez continues to lead Victoria House alongside Luis Miguel Calvo, head of content at Gersh International. Both serve as executive producers and direct the company’s creative direction. Joanna Pardos heads projects and content development, having directed works including “It’s All Over,” “Alexia” and the true-crime project “Criminopatía.”
Slate and expansions
Scripted fiction serves as a central growth driver for the rebranded producer. Victoria House is co-producing “Alexia,” a film inspired by the early life of Spanish soccer star Alexia Putellas, alongside LaZona, LaCima Producciones and Odessa Films. Backed by Movistar Plus and 3Cat, the feature is scheduled for a theatrical release in 2027. The company previously produced the Prime Video docuseries “Alexia: Labor Omnia Vincit,” which earned an International Emmy nomination.
Looking toward 2028 and 2029, Victoria House is developing two additional scripted features, including a project described by Martínez as a Spanish “Billy Elliot” based on a true story.
The studio is also scaling its true-crime division. Following HBO Max’s “11 Tiros,” Victoria House is producing “Criminopatía” for Netflix, a documentary series adapting Clara Tiscar’s true-crime podcast for television with a 2027 release date.
Victoria House operates within Gersh International’s content division alongside podcast, YouTube and branded entertainment businesses, building on a five-year production track record for Netflix, Prime Video and HBO Max that includes an International Emmy win in 2025 for Best Sports Documentary for “It’s All Over: The Kiss That Changed Spanish Football.”
