The Epic Games Store has launched its latest batch of complimentary PC titles, making two distinct games available at no charge for a limited-time window.
System shock 2: 25th anniversary remaster
Among the offerings is System Shock 2, described as an influential immersive sim originally built by co-developer Irrational Games in 1999. The title blends elements from first-person shooters, survival horror, and role-playing games, tasking players with battling monsters and robots inside an overrun spaceship.
The updated anniversary edition introduces cross-play cooperative multiplayer, visual enhancements, and built-in mod support.
Buried stars
The second title available is Buried Stars, a locked-room murder mystery set inside a collapsed television studio. During a live broadcast of a reality show, a disaster traps contestants and crew beneath rubble. Players must navigate branching narrative paths and multiple endings to solve a murder while utilizing social media inside the game to communicate with the outside world and gather clues.
Both titles can be claimed by logging into the Epic Games Store. The offer runs until Thursday, Oct. 8, at 11 a.m. EDT.
