Following a return to the stage on Thursday night, Barry Manilow has canceled his weekend shows at the International Theater at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino due to illness.
Illness interrupts return
A representative for the musician stated that after a welcome-back concert on Thursday, Manilow contracted bronchitis, forcing the cancellation of his Friday and Saturday performances. Reports also indicated that the singer concluded his Friday show early.
Thursday’s performance marked Manilow’s first time back onstage following a six-week hiatus after his Aug. 22 show.
Cancer recovery and previous postponements
Manilow has been continuing his recovery from lung cancer, a diagnosis he publicly revealed in December 2025. His cancer had initially been discovered through an MRI while he was recovering from bronchitis.
The singer’s residency at the Westgate Las Vegas was originally scheduled to begin in February before being postponed to March following surgery. In May, Manilow shared that while he was making progress in his recovery, he was not yet ready to perform under doctor’s orders, leading to further schedule adjustments.
